16Bit TF Gamers United Cup Seedings and Schedule

Published on May 9, 2012 by in 1 Night Cups, 6v6

It’s almost time for the 16Bit TF Gamers United Cup and we’ve finally got the details down. We’ve tried to structure and seed teams and brackets as fairly as we could.

Pro Bracket:

Pro Bracket will consist of four teams and be held in two rounds. Round one will consist of three matches (round robin style) and the last will be the finals.

PS. Click to enlarge the images.

The finals will be held between the two teams with the most wins. Should there be a tie, round difference will be the tie-breaker.

All teams in the Pro Bracket HAVE to make sure that they stick to the schedule as tightly as possible. Shoutcasting for the finals by VanillaTV and GreeverTV will start at 20:00 strictly. Please don’t be late!

Novice Bracket:

Novice Bracket will be held in three rounds, Round 1 will be held as single eliminations, Round 2 and the Finals will be BO3.

16Bit TF Gamers United Cup Updates!

Published on April 30, 2012 by in 1 Night Cups, 6v6

So there’s been some developments in the cup, here they are:

Cup server admins:

We welcome Tyelander, Wasabi, Goldfox and Skiba as admins for this cup and would like to thank them for their contribution.

Allowance of international players:

We’ve made a conscious decision to allow international players in our teams to partake in the cup. However, there will be some conditions. Teams can submit a request for their players from other countries to participate after which we will set up a match and test the player’s ping and hit reg. We will allow players to partake should they not teleport all over maps and take damage when targeted and shot at.

So far we’ve had a test match with Severe’s Beetle and decided that he is allowed in the cup. The team is also required to have a substitute ready for this player in the cup in case something goes wrong.

Any complaints about this during a match will only be reviewed if the player lodging the complaint has sufficient proof (replays and screenshots) to back them up.

Novice Bracket:

We are opening a Novice Bracket for beginners and new teams to compete in (yes the winners will also receive a prize :) )

On a more personal note!

I’d really like every one to encourage and welcome players like Beetle in our comps. We are here for the community and would like to see it evolve. We believe in being fair and trying things out. We’d also like to keep it as drama free as possible. Should any one be unhappy or have a complaint, feel free to share it in a decent way. There’s no need to shout or rage to get our attention :P We are happy to listen to any one that has an opinion and  want to chat about it.

Much of <3 to every one partaking and here’s to hoping that we’ll have an awesome cup and great sportsmanship :D

*Suddenly A wild MGO appears on the TF2 scene*

Published on April 30, 2012 by in Featured, Interviews, News

The Multi Gaming Organisation (MGO), Xperts@Total.Chaos took the brave, unconventional step to add a Team Fortress 2 (TF2) division to their current teams. In my opinion this unexpected yet very welcomed joining happened because the manager of xTc, David ‘Machaven’ Olivier, a regular TF2 pubber, lost his heart to; unconventional clothing accessories, strange guns, gravity defying jumps and the most cheerful gaming community in SA. Machaven, you have free ubers4life from me ;) Thank you for your relentless pursuit of adding a TF2 division to your clan.

I caught up with the CEO of xTc, Kenneth ‘Slade’ Willmore and one of the infamous Severe players,  Tye ‘Tyelander’ Walker to investigate this joining of hearts.

xTc Gaming

Kenneth ‘Slade’ Willmore, CEO at Xperts@Total.Chaos (xTc)

Please introduce xTc to our Team Fortress 2 (TF2) community.

“xTc stands for Xperts@Total.Chaosand is a South African Gaming Organization which brings together teams from all game genre’s to compete in local gaming events and tournaments. xTc was established in 1999 thus making it the oldest Gaming Organization in South Africa. We currently compete in Counter Strike: Source, Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 3, Quake Live, StarCraft 2 and now our recent addition, Team Fortress 2. We aim to improve the skill of all our teams/divisions to reach their goals of being top 3 in all their respective games and competitive events attended in SA.” Read more…
